Body Awareness - Befriending Your Body

Body awareness is key to deeper levels of self awareness. And awareness is the key to change. The good news is that it is not that hard. The biggest barrier for most people is that they don't really like their body all that much and so have a hard time being present to it.

This is why the first week of my program Turn Stress Into Bliss, is devoted to the theme of Befriending Your Body and includes an exercise to break help break through this resistance.

Yoga is a great way to help get in touch with your body and even better if practiced with a deliberate body mind focus.

The good news is that once you have befriended your body and begin to get more in touch with it, you will very quickly develop the capacity to apply the increased awareness to any life situation.

This will put you in the driver's seat of your life and give you incredible power to determine the flow of your life. Naturally this means less stress and the fulfillment of living your life in harmony with the essence of who you are.

All you have to do to get on to this path is to begin the practice of using your body as the vehicle for your growth. First though you have to make friends with it.
