Attitude of Gratitude

Taking on an attitude of gratitude is one of the easiest and quickest way to move from stress to bliss.

In a state of gratitude it is almost impossible to feel stressed. Is it no surprise that Thanksgiving is the holiday that most people rate as their favorite? It's the one time in the year that as a nation, everyone in the USA is somewhat surrounded by gratitude.

But it doesn't have to be Thanksgiving to practice love and gratitude.

Any time of the day, anywhere, you can pause for a few moments from whatever you are doing and muster up some grateful feelings. Simply ask the question "What in my life am I grateful for right now?"

If you come up blank, look around. You are sure to see something that catches your eye. If that doesn't work, think back on your life to a time you felt grateful. Focus on whatever that was.

Practice often and your life will become more fulfilling for you and those around you. Gratitude can also be great for improving marriage and relationships. In fact, your primary relationship is a great place to begin practicing being grateful. Try this...

For the next week set a goal to tell your partner at least three things about them that you are grateful for. Each day come up with three different things. No repeats. After a week, if you have been able to do it, ask yourself if it has had any affect on your relationship. Don't tell your partner ahead of time that you are doing this practice. Just do it and see what happens.
